There are two types of e-coat for Omaha Standard:

Epoxy Electrocoat.  This is a primer coat which is applied on Service Bodies, Line Bodies, HiRoof Bodies, OSV's, Backmates and Toolboxes.  These products, as is currently the case, require a finish topcoat.  Approved topcoats are listed in the enclosed "Product Topcoating Procedures".

Acrylic Electrocoat.  This is a black acrylic electrocoat finish which is a topcoat and is applied on Heavy Duty Platforms, Super Duty Platforms,

Bulkheads, Stake Racks and other Side Assemblies, and Badger Bodies.  These electrocoated products are finish painted and do not require a topcoat.

We are currently e-coating platforms up to 20’6” in length. In the near future, 22’6” platforms will also be e-coated. Products longer than 22’6” will be painted with a wet spray urethane prime and topcoat. The same procedures apply as for e-coated products for any touch-up required for the wet sprayed product.

(2) We are changing to a different door seal for the service body compartments.  The new seal, like the current seal, is a full perimeter automotive quality bulb seal.  However, it is installed with a 3M adhesive backing rather than being a flange mounted clip-on seal and has a narrower profile which results in easier door closure and smaller, more uniform gaps

between the doors and the body. The seals will be installed at the factory unless you order them shipped uninstalled.

(3) Service body rotary door locks and adjustable striker pins are manufactured from all stainless steel and will now have stainless steel paddle latches embossed with "Omaha Standard" and our logo.
